Medicare Funding At Risk

As many of you are aware, Congress has recently delayed a proposed 21% cut in Medicare payments to physicians' practices. If you are opposed to this cut in Medicare, please let your voice be heard, and click here to sign an online petition telling Congress to keep fully funding Medicare!

I am a 79 year old male, retired in 1995, and on fixed income. Medicare and federal blue cross insurance have been my sustenance through two open heart surgeries without which I would have lost my home along with any other assets we now enjoy. I was in the U,S. Navy for four years, and sixteen years at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Therefore I had 20 years of federal service. Already, even though I had 38 years of S. S. Service, my social security benefit was reduced by 50 pct. This was due to our gov't regulation for "Double Dipping enacted during Ronald Reagan' Presidency. To now think I might lose any of my Medicare benefit is beyond my thinking. There are many other funds which might be tapped before this. Sincerel Robert L. Groves. P.S. To cut funding to medical facilities and participating Dr. Also make it difficult to find participating practitioners. The cuts currently in practice for practicing physician is almost bordering on ridiculous.
