Cataract
A cataract is the natural lens inside the eye when it becomes cloudy and yellow, which in turn clouds the vision. Most cataracts occur as a natural aging process. Everyone will start to develop cataracts by age 60. Cataract formation can occur much earlier though due to a variety of causes.
As cataracts develop, they will eventually get to the point that your vision declines. Patients have reported a broad range of visual symptoms from cataracts. The most common vision changes are blurred vision, night-time glare or haloes, and difficulty reading or driving. Whatever your vision trouble happens to be, when cataracts interfere to this extent, it's time to consider cataract surgery. |
