How To Use Eye Drops

The most common way to use eye drops requires the use of both hands. While tilting your head back, use one hand to gently pull down on the lower eyelid. This creates an opening between the eyelids. Your other hand will hold the eyedrop bottle. Placing it above the eye and being careful not to touch the eye with the tip of the bottle, gently squeeze until one drop falls on to the surface of the eye. Close your eyelids without excessive force for a minute or two.
