Lens Implants for Cataract Surgery

An intraocular lens implant (IOL) is an artificial lens that is implanted at the time of cataract surgery. It replaces the natural lens to restore vision. The lens implant allows you to see correctly after surgery. There are several types of lens implants from which to choose.
What are the different types of lens implants?

There are many choices of lens implants available today. These choices can be broken down into several groups: standard lens implants, astigmatism-correcting / toric lens implants, Crystalens (accommodating lens implant), or multifocal lens implants.
